Dina Vardouniotis, CMO – Alterna Savings and Credit Union

As Chief Marketing Officer, Dina is responsible for brand, product, marketing, communications and analytics at Alterna Savings | Alterna Bank.

Prior to joining Alterna, Dina was with JPMorgan Chase (Toronto Branch) headed up credit card partnership programs. As Vice President and General Manager, she led a diverse team (relationship managers, marketing managers, field sales, analysts, control officers) and managed US based partners, She launched six new products, leveraging existing and new rewards currencies to build competitive value propositions and go to market strategies. She was responsibility for delivering several strategic initiatives on a proprietary loyalty platform, securing significant investment.

Prior to Chase, Dina headed up a private label consumer, small business and commercial credit card program at Citi and at CIBC, headed up marketing, strategy and business planning at the Retail and Small Business Lending division. Dina began her career in database marketing, working with several clients, most notably Air Miles.

With 20+ years of experience, knowledge across multiple banking products (loans, lines, credit cards, insurance, home equity lending), dual regulated environments (CA-US) and industry segments (hotel, retail, airline, entertainment), Dina is strategic, highly adaptive, with strong relationship skills and collaborative leadership style, that allows her to succeed complex matrixed organizations.

Dina is inspired to challenge the status quo and leverage the changing digital landscape to change how we market products & engage consumers. She also pursues opportunities to support the advancement of women in leadership at Chase across LOBs, as well as working with the YWCA.
